THIS POSTING IS FOR TWO OPENINGS: ONE (1) SUPERINTENDENT IN LINTON, INDIANA AND ONE (1) SUPERINTENDENT IN SILVER SPRINGS, NEVADA.

PREFERENCE IS GIVEN TO LOCAL CANDIDATES, BUT PER DIEM AND LODGING WILL BE PROVIDED FOR CANDIDATES WILLING TO TRAVEL FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME TO SUPPORT PROJECTS.

WHAT WEโ€™RE LOOKING FOR

This individual is responsible for overseeing, managing, and coordinating all operational activities of a construction project. Duties will include but are not limited to overall job site safety for all in-house and subcontractors, coordinating and instructing subcontractors, managing and directing Construction Managers or other frontline operations leaders across the job sites, overseeing day-to-day operational responsibilities, adhering and tracking budget, maintaining quality, and reporting/tracking metrics related to labor and project.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Ensure safe work amongst your entire team at all times, no exceptions.
  • Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress, resource allocation, and metric reporting.
  • Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs.
  • Works closely with Project Manager to ensure project progress and budgets are on track at all times.
  • Works and communicates closely with Project Manager, Operations Director, and Operations VP to ensure project updates are timely, issues are raised immediately, and solutions are implemented without delay.
  • Coordinates materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers to ensure there are no construction delays.
  • Maintains operational logs to ensure data is captured and metrics are maintained.
  • Adapts to changes and/or challenges quickly to best meet construction deadlines.
  • Manages and coaches peers and subordinates to ensure professional growth and development.
  • Conduct performance management processes for direct and indirect team members.
  • Oversee employment-related processes for respective team.

WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT

  • A bachelorโ€™s degree in business or related field from an accredited 4-year university is preferred.
  • A Construction Management Certification is preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to focus on details while still operating within tight deadlines.
  • Proficient communication skills.
  • At least 8 yearsโ€™ experience leading teams in a construction environment, preferably telecommunications utility construction.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced ability to manage people and conflict.
  • Strong emotional intelligence skills.
  • Prior experience investigating workplace situations is preferred.
  • Proven experience working with little supervision and creating high-level results.
  • Prior experience working within Vitruvi Project Management system is preferred.
