Job Summary

Comcast Business IT is seeking a motivated ServiceNow Developer to support the development, configuration, testing, and enhancement of enterprise ServiceNow solutions. In this role, you will work with product owners, architects, software engineers, and business partners to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable platform capabilities that improve service delivery, operational workflows, and business outcomes. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ServiceNow development fundamentals, including scripting, configuration, integrations, testing, and platform modules. You will contribute to code development and test execution, support production releases and platform stability, and continue building expertise across the ServiceNow ecosystem.

Job Description

This Engineer 2 can be located with the team in our Philadelphia, PA or Reston, VA office; preference for applicants currently residing within commuting distance. This position is ineligible for visa sponsorship. To be considered for this role, you must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment now or in the future
 

As part of CBIT, you will support the delivery of key business initiatives across the enterprise by developing and maintaining ServiceNow applications, integrations, workflows, and automation. You will assist with platform enhancements across IT Service Management, Configuration Management Database, and Telecom Service Operations Management capabilities, with exposure to related ServiceNow modules and emerging AI-assisted development capabilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support scalable, integrated systems that streamline operational workflows, improve service visibility, and help ensure the platform remains secure, reliable, and resilient. 


You will work with product owners, architects, and software engineers to support the delivery of key business initiatives across the enterprise. You will help ensure the ecosystem is secure, reliable, and resilient while supporting efficient business processes through customer-focused applications. As part of the IT team, you will contribute to the design, development, deployment, and support of applications and infrastructure in a collaborative environment, with opportunities to learn and grow within the greenfield ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • โ€‹Develop, configure, customize, and maintain ServiceNow applications and modules, including IT Service Management and Configuration Management Database capabilities. 
  • Support Telecom Service Operations Management development and related service operations workflows, including incident, request, problem, change, and service operations processes. 
  • Develop and update scripts, workflows, business rules, client scripts, Script Includes, Flow Designer components, and other platform functionality. 
  • Support integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems using REST APIs, data exchanges, and platform integration tools. 
  • Assist with data imports, data cleanup, data migration, and validation activities to support ServiceNow platform accuracy and reliability. 
  • Participate in testing, defect resolution, regression validation, release launches, and production support activities. 
  • Contribute to platform upgrades, vulnerability remediation, maintenance activities, and ongoing stability improvements. 
  • Apply DevSecOps practices in daily development, testing, deployment, and support work. 
  • Partner with quality assurance, product, architecture, and engineering teams to ensure applications meet business, technical, and security requirements. 
  • Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 
  • 2โ€“4+ years of experience in IT service management or enterprise application development. 
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development preferred
  • 1+ year of experience with JavaScript, Python, Java, REST APIs, integrations, databases, or cloud fundamentals. 
  • Experience supporting application development, testing, troubleshooting, and production releases in a collaborative engineering environment. 
  • Ability to partner with technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reliable platform enhancements. 
  • Exposure to AI-assisted software development capabilities, including code generation, code review, analysis, or software development lifecycle support.

Salary:

Virginia Pay Range: $101,875.02 - $152,812.53
