Structural Engineer - Remote USA

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare technical drawings, calculations, specifications, material requisitions, and technical bid evaluations for industrial rail, transloading, and other industrial facility projects
  • Review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to request for information, prepares site observation reports, and performs other contract administration tasks.
  • Attend project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
  • Participate in value engineering and basic cost estimating.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited University.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in one or more US states, with the ability to obtain additional state licenses as needed
  • 10+ years of structural engineering experience. Experience as a discipline lead is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of building codes and standards, relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Experience with S-Frame or RISA is an asset.
  • Experience with structural design of bridges and other infrastructure for railways is an asset.
  • Well organized, with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects. Strong organizational interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
