Job title: Telecom OSS Modernization Architect - TIRKS/SOAC/LFACS Migration Specialist

Required Skills:
• Telecom OSS Expertise: At least 10-15 years of telecom infrastructure experience, with deep technical knowledge of the Ericsson/Telcordia suite, specifically circuit provisioning lifecycles within TIRKS.
• Legacy Mainframe Proficiency: Comprehensive background in IBM mainframe environments, including z/OS internals, JCL, IMS databases, VSAM, and CICS transaction processing.
• Modern Systems Architecture: Practical experience with API-first architectures, Microservices, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, and cloud environments like AWS or Azure.
• Data & ETL Skills: Mastery of advanced SQL, data modeling, database design principles, and enterprise data migration tooling.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or Network Engineering.
Core Responsibilities:
• Architecture Transformation: Define end-to-end functional architecture to transition legacy, monolithic TIRKS mainframe systems (z/OS, IMS, DB2) into modern midrange, cloud, or service-based platforms.
• As-Is to To-Be Mapping: Map current-state (AS-IS) legacy TIRKS data flows, circuit provisioning rules, and system interfaces to design future-state (TO-BE) software architectures.
• Data Migration & Validation: Oversee the structural extraction, cleanup, and loading (ETL) of critical network inventory, connecting facility assignments (CFAs), and trunk line data into new systems.
• Integration Rationalization: Deconstruct and rewire complex interfaces linking TIRKS to other Telcordia modules like SWITCH, FACS, WFA, and SOAC.
• Risk & Cutover Management: Formulate phased migration and system decomposition strategies to guarantee zero disruption to ongoing network order controls or field dispatch workflows.
