We leverage the latest technologies and up-to-date construction practices to design and build high-performance networks that deliver fast, reliable connectivity for businesses, schools, and healthcare.
At GRC, we believe that great infrastructure is built on two foundational commitments:
  • Safety First: This is our #1 priority and a mutual commitment. We protect our team members, the public, and our customers' assets by prioritizing safety over production and ensuring every project is executed without shortcuts so everyone goes home safe.

We are looking for people who take pride in their trade and want to help us lay the foundation for a safer, more connected future.
The Opportunity
Glass Roots Construction (GRC) is seeking a high-performing Project Manager to lead our underground utility projects from inception to completion. As GRC continues to scale, this role serves as a pivotal bridge between our strategic goals and field execution. You won't just be managing tasks; you will be the primary driver of project profitability, client relationships, and operational excellence.
This is a leadership position designed for a proactive problem-solver who can navigate the complexities of civil construction while mentoring our field teams and ensuring GRC remains the gold standard for safety and efficiency in the Reno area.

  • Permitting & Engineering Oversight: Oversee timely permitting submittal and on-time performance of engineering and construction partners.
  • Risk Mitigation: Manage internal and external project risks-such as design changes or local government policy shifts-that impact project timelines.
  • Resource Allocation: Procure and allocate field resources to prevent shortages and eliminate management-driven delays.
  • RFP/RFI & Budgeting: Support RFI/RFP development for engineering and construction, while creating and tracking project budgets in relationship to Network Operations.
  • Process & Data Accuracy: Maintain precise tracking system records and continuously refine operational workflows.
  • Regional Travel: Travel up to 25% across job sites, municipal offices, and vendor locations.

On-Site & Geographic Requirements
  • Location: Must currently reside in (or be relocating immediately to) Nevada or the surrounding areas.
  • Travel: Willing and able to travel up to 25% regionally to meet with field teams, vendors, and municipal partners as project demands dictate.
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of familiarity with all types of outside plant construction and experience managing large capital projects.
  • 2+ years of experience in telecom construction and design, specifically FTTx.
  • Proven ability to manage aggressive RFP and design-construction schedules.
  • Demonstrated expertise in reading and interpreting construction documents and plans.
  • Executive-level communication skills; comfortable presenting directly to the CEO.
  • Leadership drive with a strong track record of daily job allocation and team communication.
  • Proficient in budget management, resource forecasting, and negotiation.
  • Technical proficiency with MS Suite (Excel, Word), Google Suite (Sheets, Slides), and Google Earth

Preferred Qualifications
