Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day management of construction projects related to fiber optic and wireless network infrastructure (OSP/ISP). This role is responsible for assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of IT construction projects working with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within scope and budget, and in alignment with technical specifications and organizational standards. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders, including Program/Project Management, Engineering, Permitting, Restoration, and peer teams across underground, aerial, splicing, and site build activities. Responsibilities include overseeing tower, rooftop, and ground site construction; equipment installation; power and backhaul coordination; and integration with fiber transport networks. This individual also ensures that technology and network requirements are effectively incorporated into all vertical construction initiatives. Incumbents exercise considerable independent judgment in the application of the principles and practices of architectural planning, design and construction, related engineering knowledge and in the administration of a variety of residential projects. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil/Electrical Engineering, or related technical field is required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in telecom construction management (OSP iber/wireless), including crew/subcontractor oversight and multi project delivery is required. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience may be considered. OSHA 30, Certified Fiber Optic Technician / Certified Fiber Optic Specialist / Certified Premises Cabling Technician from the Fiber Optic Association (FOA), Project Management Professional (PMP), Bicsi, Fiber splicing certifications are preferred. Prior experience working with enterprise/data center fiber deployments, carrier class splicing, ADSS/energized space work, and GIS/CAD/CADD tools, is highly desired. Strong understanding of OSP/ISP methods (directional drilling, trenching/plowing, aerial installation), fiber splicing/testing, blueprint/print reading, and restoration. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Proficiency with mapping/GIS, CAD/CADD, and construction/project tracking systems (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Sitetracker, Vetro, MBS, Samsara) and Microsoft software packages. The incumbent must demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel to all Seminole Tribe of Florida Reservations and to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
