Job Summary

The Project Manager ensures the successful execution of projects by overseeing all aspects of planning, coordination, and implementation. This role requires leadership, effective communication, and problem-solving skills to deliver quality results on time and within budget. The Project Manager is pivotal in building strong customer relationships and fostering a collaborative team environment while driving operational excellence across all assigned projects.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Takes accountability to deliver the project.
  • Lead assigned field staff through the completion of awarded projects.
  • Create and maintain a team environment to promote high performance.
  • Demonstrate ability to lead a team to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Advise and support project personnel.
  • Lead through vision while keeping company core values front and center.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and manage a clear scope of work
  • Provide expert knowledge of systems, installations, and applications to resolve issues and train other staff
  • Provide complete & timely proposals based on the bid set of documents or customer’s needs
  • Coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders to create and schedule contracted projects
  • Create and manage communication plan for each project
  • Manage staffing for projects to ensure timely completion
  • Manage and oversee required project documentation through project completion
  • Manage project phase handoff meetings through project closeout
  • Oversee work in progress and monitor job performance
  • Review job costs to ensure project is on budget
  • Review and submit project forecasting and billing
  • Lead / attend project meetings
  • Sell services by estimating and bidding on new construction, remodels, retrofits, modifications, and upgrades
  • Determine and coordinate accurate project material order
  • Facilitate and oversee customer training
  • Ensure customer needs and expectations are met at project completion
  • Continued development of customer relationships
  • Participate with industry trade organizations
  • Review and update operations SOPs
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the construction industry or building automation systems.
  • Effective and proven leadership skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven and effective time management.
  • Extensive understanding of blueprints and specifications.
  • Knowledge of multiple products and services and their applications.
  • Proficient at estimating labor and materials for construction projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Visio.
  • Strong keyboarding and computer functionality.
  • Ability to pass customer-required background checks for facility admittance.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel regionally.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel daily to client locations and work sites.
  • Level 1: Sedentary work with occasional walking and/or standing on uneven or unimproved surfaces.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
