We are currently seeking a Telecom Manager for the West Des Moines, IA area.

What you'll do
  • Read and interpret construction documents. These documents will include prints, permits and plans as well as splicing diagrams that are used in the splicing of fiber optic cables.
  • The Construction Manager will review designs with the crews, municipalities, and customers
  • Review preliminary construction prints from right-of-way authorities and determine potential conflicts
  • Attend utility coordination meetings and construction progress meetings as needed
  • Develop required project documentation identifying project goals and tasks and generating assignments.
  • Arranges internal employees or vendors to perform work and issue purchase orders as needed.
  • Ensures that vendors have called in locates prior to starting work on site.
  • The Construction Manager will create and provide a construction schedule to the property and customer
  • Communicates scope of project with Warehouse Manager and arranges for material pick up and/or drop off.
  • Verifies materials prior to sub picking up and arranges materials storage at work site.
  • Works with OSP supervisors to monitor contractor progress and quality inspection, and timely turnover of assigned projects
  • Responsible for workforce compliance with all safety regulations including all OSHA requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring the project is consistent to meet objectives.
  • Reviews close out packet folder daily and address issues with supervisors.
  • Will oversee project cost and reviewing pre-invoicing prior to finalizing.
  • Responsible to Redline any port changes and communicate to team
  • Works with Regional Administrative teams and Supervisors to ensure quality of work standards are met.
  • Reviews Photos as part of Quality Check and addresses any concerns.
  • Responsible for communicating any charge backs to subcontractors.
  • Interact with customer representatives regarding work completion, and resolve conflicts
  • Responsible for signing off on all work completed and sharing information to Prince leadership and the customer.
  • Oversee the maintenance of field vehicles and equipment.
  • Oversees Drive Cam Program for all employees on the Team.
  • Hire, Train and Coach team members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you'll need
  • 3 years management experience in the telecom/construction space.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Valid driver's license (class "C" minimum).
  • Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
  • Telecom industry experience required, preferably with HDD drilling.

Physical abilities & exposures
  • Routinely: work at heights, occasional entry into attics and crawl spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds without assistance.
  • Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Manager Telecom is $75,000.00 - $85,000.00
