Job description

Job Title: Project Manager

Job Summary

ASI is seeking a project manager to plan, schedule, and coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines. The goal will be to ensure all projects are completed on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget. This position will control multiple projects simultaneously.

PAY: Wage based on experience (possible increase after 60 days based on performance).

HOURS: Primarily: 7am-5pm, Monday thru Friday. Occasional 10+ hour days, & weekends/holidays to meet customer demand.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long term goals
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Oversee project productivity, costs, quality and safety consistent with company policies and practices
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships to enhance company’s ability to procure projects, reduce risk, and ensure operational efficiency
  • Monitor the overall safety and quality issues on the project
  • Complete all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills
  • Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
  • Supervise the work of laborers and give guidance when needed
  • Complete all other work assigned by senior project manager

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferably 10+ years of experience in agricultural construction

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as customers and vendors
  • Detail oriented with the ability to efficiently analyze and organize significant amounts of information regarding plan layouts, material deliveries and jobsite productivities.
  • Ability to travel and work for extended periods of time on projects outside of office area.
  • Strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude
  • Understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Leadership abilities
  • Analytical skills to be able to solve problems that may come up during a typical workday
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Working Conditions

  • Workday may be from 45-60 hours per week, or as needed to meet customer demand
  • Could include early morning, late evenings, weekends & some holidays
  • Most of the time will be spent outside in all types of weather
  • Traveling to jobsites in a company vehicle
