Job Summary:
The Weather Channel is looking for a Project Manager responsible for leading complex, cross-functional initiatives across various departments. This role involves managing projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and collaborating with technical leadership and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Lead multiple complex projects simultaneously from planning through execution and successful delivery.
โ€ข Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
โ€ข Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and dependencies while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
โ€ข Identify and proactively resolve project risks, issues, and roadblocks.
โ€ข Partner with Engineering, Operations, Product, Finance, Cybersecurity, and executive stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
โ€ข Coordinate resources across multiple departments and vendors.
โ€ข Facilitate project meetings, requirements gathering, steering committees, and executive status reviews.
โ€ข Apply PMO standards, governance processes, and project management best practices.
โ€ข Mentor junior project managers and project coordinators.
โ€ข Recommend process improvements that increase project delivery effectiveness.
โ€ข Drive adoption of consistent project management methodologies across assigned initiatives.
โ€ข Track project budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditures.
โ€ข Monitor project performance against approved timelines and financial plans.

โ€ข Ability to drive projects from planning through execution while mitigating risks and ensuring successful delivery.
โ€ข Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
โ€ข Demonstrated technical and personal leadership in a technology based environment.
โ€ข Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
โ€ข Ability to work on multiple, concurrent initiatives.
โ€ข Comfort managing resources both onsite and in remote locations.
โ€ข Ability to work closely with customers in defining requirements.
