North Georgia Civil Inc./NGC General Contractors

Telecom Project Manager (PMI, PMII, Senior)

Location: Danielsville, GA (Athens-area office). Office-based with regular travel to telecom project sites, markets, and customer meetings across multiple states. Overnight travel is required based on program needs. Candidates need to know that up front.

Run Your Sites. Own the Outcome.

North Georgia Civil Inc., also known as NGC General Contractors, is a rapidly growing commercial, civil, and telecommunications contractor headquartered in Danielsville, Georgia. The company supports wireless carriers, tower owners, utilities, and infrastructure clients on new-build, colocation, upgrade, power, and civil construction projects across multiple states. Known for quality work, dependable execution, strong communication, and accountability, NGC continues to expand its telecommunications division and is seeking experienced Project Managers who can independently own projects and deliver successful outcomes.

NGC is seeking Telecom Project Managers (PM I, PM II, and Senior PM) to independently manage approximately $2 million-$3 million in annual telecom construction revenue across multiple active projects. This role is responsible for customer communication, project financials, forecasting, scheduling, billing, change management, quality, and project closeout while coordinating Construction Managers, Project Coordinators, subcontractors, and vendors. Placement as PM I, PM II, or Senior PM is based on experience, demonstrated capability, and the scope of work managed. The ideal candidate is organized, financially disciplined, and capable of managing multiple telecom projects with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently manage approximately $2 million-$3 million in annual telecom construction revenue across multiple active sites.
  • Own customer communication, project financials, forecasting, scheduling, billing, change management, quality, and project closeout.
  • Coordinate Construction Managers, Project Coordinators, subcontractors, and vendors across tower, civil, DC, modifications, new-site builds, and telecom construction scopes.
  • Build and maintain project budgets while reviewing costs against purchase orders and protecting project margins.
  • Direct Project Coordinators and Construction Managers by setting priorities, reviewing project trackers, and removing obstacles.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and vendor pricing while preparing purchase orders and scopes of work.
  • Track project milestones, permitting, utility coordination, long-lead materials, and customer deliverables to keep projects on schedule.
  • Price and process change orders while ensuring customer purchase orders are received before additional work begins.
  • Ensure crews submit required documentation, project photos, testing records, and closeout packages accurately and on time.
  • Provide proactive project updates to customers, leadership, and internal teams while communicating risks and recovery plans.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of project management experience in telecom, utility, civil, or commercial construction for PM I; 5+ years with proven independent project ownership for PM II and Senior PM.
  • Strong knowledge of wireless telecom construction, including new-site builds, colocations, modifications, civil work, and power projects preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, budgets, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, billing, and change management.
  • Ability to read construction drawings, site plans, scopes of work, and contract documents.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with carriers, tower owners, subcontractors, field teams, and customers.
  • Experience with project management software; familiarity with Smartsheet, Google Workspace, and cloud-based project management tools preferred.
  • Comfortable adopting new technology and AI-assisted tools to improve project delivery.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and markets based on workload.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred, but not required.
Pay and Benefits
  • Full-time W-2 position.
  • Salary: $75,000-$110,000 per year, based on placement level (PM I, PM II, or Senior PM), experience, and performance.
  • Weekly pay.
  • Quarterly performance bonus eligibility when the telecom division meets established profitability requirements.
  • 3% SIMPLE IRA company match after 3 months for eligible employees.
  • Two weeks of paid vacation annually.
  • Paid holidays including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
  • Travel-related lodging, per diem, mileage reimbursement, or vehicle allowance may be provided when applicable.
  • Company-provided laptop and dual monitors.
  • Clear career progression from PM I through Senior PM with opportunities for future leadership advancement.
Why North Georgia Civil?

NGC offers Project Managers the opportunity to own their portfolio, make meaningful decisions, and advance based on performance rather than tenure. As a family-owned, team-oriented company, NGC empowers its PMs with autonomy, accountability, and direct access to leadership while providing a clear path for career growth. If you're ready to take ownership of telecom construction projects and grow with a rapidly expanding contractor, NGC offers the opportunity to build a long-term career with a strong team behind you.
