Job Title: Telecom Operations and Financial Coordinator- Oracle Fusion is a PLUS not mandatory
looking for someone with strong coordination/operations background - telecom is a plus but just familiarity around that would be okay
Location: Des Moines, IA
Duration: 6 Months
Position Overview:
The Telecom Operations and Financial Coordinator provides day to day operational, procurement, and financial support for telecom, network, and operational technology teams. This role acts as a central coordination point between engineering teams, project managers, suppliers, and finance to ensure accurate purchasing, invoicing, cost tracking, and reporting across capital and operational projects. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across multiple teams and vendors.
Responsibilities:
  • Create and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders based on requests from engineering and project teams
  • Receive and track equipment within Oracle Fusion and monitor purchase orders through delivery
  • Communicate order status, estimated arrival dates, and delivery updates to stakeholders
  • Request and manage vendor quotes, primarily supporting telecom related procurement
  • Review, acknowledge, and resolve invoice issues including holds, discrepancies, and revalidation needs
  • Prepare and process monthly contractor and vendor invoices, including time validation and project allocation
  • Track capital expenditures and maintain accurate monthly capital budget reporting
  • Allocate costs to correct projects, task numbers, and funding routes, including government funded initiatives
  • Maintain financial tracking spreadsheets, reports, and invoice documentation within Microsoft Teams
  • Support fiber and infrastructure cost tracking across multiple routes and projects
  • File and manage damage claims, including coordination with engineers, contractors, locators, and external parties
  • Perform cost reclassifications and coordinate corrections with property accounting when needed
  • Proofread and review project and financial documentation for accuracy
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for Oracle Fusion users by providing guidance and job aids
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external suppliers
Qualifications:
  • Experience in procurement, operations coordination, finance, or administrative support roles
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly with technical teams, project managers, and vendors
  • Experience supporting capital projects and cost tracking preferred
  • Comfort working in fast paced, detail oriented environments
  • Willingness to learn complex systems and follow established processes
  • Telecom, utilities, or infrastructure industry experience preferred but not required
