Aureon Consulting is excited to partner with Winnebago Cooperative Telecom Association (WCTA) in the search for a Network Operations Center (NOC) Manager.

The Opportunity


This role is ideal for a technical leader who wants more than just reactive operations. You will oversee the performance and reliability of WCTAโ€™s fiber network while leading a critical team responsible for monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement. Youโ€™ll work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and drive operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

Network Operations & Reliability


Lead the daily operations of the Network Operations Center (NOC) supporting fiber infrastructure, including backbone, access networks, and transport systems

Ensure maximum uptime through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and rapid incident response

Oversee network monitoring systems, alarms, and performance metrics to identify and resolve issues quickly

Establish and improve incident management and escalation processes

Team Leadership & Development


Lead, mentor, and develop a team of network engineers, technicians, and NOC analysts

Manage scheduling and staffing to support a 24/7 operational environment

Set performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and support ongoing training and development

Foster a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and continuous improvement

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence


Develop and implement operational procedures, standards, and best practices

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, response time, and overall network performance

Drive initiatives that enhance monitoring capabilities, automation, and service delivery

Cross-Functional Collaboration


Partner with engineering, field operations, and customer support teams to ensure seamless service delivery

Provide technical leadership during major incidents and escalations

Coordinate maintenance windows and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Vendor & Resource Management


Manage relationships with equipment vendors, service providers, and third-party partners

Oversee departmental budget planning and execution

Ensure resources are aligned to meet operational and strategic objectives


What Weโ€™re Looking For

Weโ€™re seeking a technical professional with leadership capability or strong leadership potential who wants to make an impact and grow.

Ideal Background May Include:


Experience in telecom, broadband, networking, or infrastructure environments

Prior experience in a NOC, network operations, or technical support leadership role

Hands-on knowledge of IP networking, fiber infrastructure, and monitoring tools

Experience working in 24/7 operations environments

Preferred Certifications (not required):


CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent
