Field Network Support Analyst 


- On behalf of our client in the Oil and Gas industry, Procom Services is looking for one Network Administrator to provide their project expertise.



Field Network Support Analyst Job Details


The Field Network Support Analyst position main duties are to stage and test WAN/LAN equipment to be installed at field meter station and compressor field sites as well as providing technical support to field installers to ensure timely and accurate field installations. Some field work will be required (20%) and this position will primarily work out of the company's Houston, which houses our client's inventory, staging and testing facility for the network lifecycle projects.


  • Assembly, configuration, staging and testing of networking/telecom equipment to be installed at client's field sites
  •  Working with client's drawings to aid in the assembly, staging, testing and deployment of network/telecom equipment
  • Responsible for client's lifecycle lab and staging area
  • Technical support for lifecycle project field trials
  • Technical support for completion of field installations and troubleshooting
  • Documentation of installed devices and completion of required project/operations documentation
  • Documentation of processes and procedures as they apply to this job function
  • Some field work for installation of equipment, field testing and field trial implementation
  • Material Receiving
  • Inventory Control & management
  • Shipping & Handling and Tracking
  • Packing slips, Item Receipt in SAP & Remedy
  • Other duties as required

Field Network Support Analyst Mandatory Skills


  • Knowledge of IP networking
  • Cisco device configuration, testing and troubleshooting Configuration of data networking equipment in general
  • Proficient with MS Office - Word, Excel, Access and Visio
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs. 10 - 15 times a day

Field Network Support Analyst Nice to Have Skills


Knowledge of wireless technologies


CCNA and/or technical diploma in networking
