Department: Sales
Reports To: Regional Sales Director

Position Summary

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving new business development, growing strategic client relationships, and expanding revenue within assigned accounts. This role focuses on prospecting, consultative selling, and identifying opportunities that align with the client's branding and promotional marketing goals.

The BDM partners closely with an assigned Account Manager (AM) to ensure a seamless customer experience. While the AM manages day-to-day account servicing and order execution, the BDM maintains ownership of relationship development, strategic growth initiatives, and revenue expansion. Together, the BDM and AM are responsible for achieving a minimum of $1 million in combined annual sales while delivering exceptional service that reflects Brandability's commitment to excellence.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and strategic sales initiatives.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships through regular communication and consultative selling.
  • Understand each client's business objectives and recommend branding and promotional product solutions.
  • Develop and execute account growth strategies for existing customers.
  • Present proposals, product ideas, and marketing solutions that align with client goals.
  • Negotiate pricing and close sales opportunities while maintaining company profitability expectations.
  • Transition order details to the assigned Account Manager for execution while remaining engaged in the overall client relationship.
  • Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and business reviews.
  • Collaborate with the Account Manager to ensure outstanding customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline management, and forecasting within the company's CRM.
  • Meet or exceed established sales, gross profit, and activity goals.
  • Stay current on industry trends, products, and promotional marketing solutions.
  • Represent Brandability professionally at networking events, trade shows, and community functions.
  • Demonstrate Brandability's Core Values in all customer and team interactions.
