POSITION: Director of Business Development (2 positions available)

JOB DUTIES:
  • Spearhead market analysis and strategy: Conduct in-depth research to identify emerging trends, assess the competitive landscape, and develop comprehensive market expansion plans for solar, wind, and BESS projects.
  • Lead opportunity identification and qualification
  • Proactively identify and rigorously evaluate potential projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk tolerance.
  • Cultivate a robust project pipeline.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders (project developers, investors, utilities, government agencies) to secure a pipeline of high-potential renewable energy projects.
  • Secure project contracts through compelling proposals and negotiation.
  • Craft persuasive proposals that effectively showcase Ferrovial Webber Energy's capabilities and value proposition.
  • Lead complex negotiations to secure project contracts and achieve mutually beneficial terms.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing business development team.
  • Manage and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Ensure project success through collaboration: Partner effectively with internal teams (engineering, construction, operations) throughout the project lifecycle, from early stages to completion.
  • Track and report on financial performance.
  • Monitor and report on key business development metrics, analyzing their impact on overall division revenue and growth.
  • Monitor and analyze regulatory and policy developments affecting the renewable energy sector, including federal, state, and local legislation.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management or equivalent in a related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 4 years' experience: Managing business development activities in the power generation energy industry, solar and/or wind experience on utility scale projects. Experience in both the EPC and the Development of solar and/or wind projects. Experience operating CRM or sales based software, such as Zoho CRM, Microsoft CRM, and Salesforce. Experience negotiating contracts for utility scale projects. Experience monitoring and reporting on key business development metrics, analyzing their impact on overall division revenue and growth.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 20% domestic travel. Travel is mainly to visit customers, suppliers, vendors, contractors and partners when needed. Attend regional and national trade shows, conferences, summits and gatherings. Attend energy associations local events in targeted markets.
