Project Planning and Scheduling skills

Capable of managing multiple program/projects, and tasks simultaneously and efficiently

Requirement flow-down (Voice of Customer a Functional Requirements a Design Parameter & Process Parameters)

Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA)

Developing new processes and tooling/fixtures

Creating 2D and 3D CAD/CAE (SolidWorks)

oFailure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA, DFMEA)

oControl Methods (Mistake Proofing, Flags, SPC, Inspection, SOP and Warning Signals)

oTolerance Analysis/Simulation

oDesign of Experiments (Factorial DOE - full and fractional) and optimization

oControl Plan

oProject Planning, cross-function leader of teams involving internal and external stakeholders

oCellular manufacturing flow, pull, line balancing, standard work and time standards

oRoot Cause Analysis methods

oWrite Justification (ROI) for capital projects

oProduct/equipment Validation (i.e. IQOQPA, PPAP)

oSelf-motivated, results orientated, and can work prioritize workload with minimal supervision

oAble to read and understand Engineering drawings (including GD&T)

oMechanical Measurement and Instrumentation skills

oMeasurement System Analysis (MSA)

oProcess Mapping methods (VSM, high/mid/low-level maps, swim-lane, SIPOC)

oCapability Analysis (Cp/Cpk, DPMO, % Yield)

Education:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing or Industrial Technology is preferred.

Qualifications:

Certification/Certificate in lean Manufacturing

10+ years of hands-on experience in Manufacturing Process Engineering

5+ years of new product development (NPD) in a team environment

5+ years applying SIX Sigma (DMAIC) tools

5+ years applying Lean Manufacturing principles in a manufacturing environment

4+ years managing/supervising direct reports

Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) experience is strongly desired but not required
