Job Description

We are seeking a Press Operator IIfor our Teijin Automotive Stamping Plant inManchester, Michigan.

  • Understands presses and die terminology.
  • Runs progressive dies.
  • Operates reels, cradles, short feed sensors and part detectors.
  • Makes minor adjustments to press and feeder.
  • Pulls progressive dies out of the press.
  • Understands stamping fluids and checks mixture.
  • Makes sprayer adjustments.
  • Loads programs on the spectrum and adjusts set points on Select Loader Analyzer
  • Keeps work area orderly and clean.
  • Available to work shift overtime hours as assigned per customer requirements.
  • Takes individual responsibility for all aspects of part quality to provide TEIJIN AUTOMOTIVE LLC with the product that conforms to both quality and function requirements.
  • Submits ideas to promote continuous improvement, emphasizing defect prevention, and the reduction of variation and waste.
  • Uses and follows procedures and work instructions pertinent to tasks assigned.
  • Takes individual responsibility for housekeeping in the specific work area and generally throughout the facility.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following 5S, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Support safety functions by communicating with employees of the expectations that they actively participate in safety training, safety meetings and follow safety protocols.
  • Responsible for quality of part produced per the operator instructions.
  • Knows, understands, utilizes and follows IATF 16949 and/or ISO 14001 procedures.
  • Attention to details related to customer specific requirements.
  • Supports continual improvement initiatives and look for continuous improvement ideas.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One to three years of related experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Possession of a current and valid motor vehicle operator's license.
  • Possession of a current and valid forklift license.


Pay Range (estimates may vary):

$17.25 - $23.81
