Job description

Job Description
Assist with the operation of compression molding presses and the operation of other equipment for the purpose of producing a high-quality product for our customers. Reduction of scrap, maintaining production requirements/shipments as required by customers. Willing to work overtime when necessary. This position reports to Manufacturing Supervisor.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Operate the trimmer's "Press Close" station correctly and promptly.
  • Unload the mold in a safe manner, efficiently and promptly.
  • Check all equipment for proper operation at shift start and review any communication to any deviation of the normal process.
  • Understand the process and the importance of following process of the production product. Notifies Supervisor as soon as possible of any mechanical, process or quality problems so the proper steps may be taken to facilitate quick response.
  • Inspects as many parts as possible to see that all operations prior to and including their operation have been completed satisfactorily as outlined by the instructions and visual aids.
  • Performs normal housekeeping duties within a reasonable area of the workstation during and prior to end of scheduled shift.
  • Keeps the station neat and reports safety hazards to the Supervisor immediately.
  • Assist the press operator when required with charge placement.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Good assembly skills / dexterity.
  • Good judgment and decision skills.
  • Team oriented.
  • Able to work at quick pace.
  • Responsibilities include machine operation.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Able to work in manufacturing plant setting.
  • Able to use hand or power tools.
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours or more.
  • Must be flexible to work overtime when required.
  • Attention to detail and follow instructions in work area is required.

Pay and Benefits:
  • Pay starting at $15.50 an hour increase at 90 days
  • Shift premiums for 3rd shift is $1 addition to the hourly rate.
  • Perfect Attendance program incentives.
  • Full Medical, dental and vision benefits after 30 days
  • Flexible Spending Account available after 90 days
  • 401K available the 1st of the month following hire date
