As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health needs, formulating individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique circumstances and goals.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic approaches, and solution-focused therapy.
• Work closely with diverse client groups, providing therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups while maintaining adherence to ethical practices and client confidentiality.
• Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with legal standards and organizational policies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, webinars, and peer supervision to stay updated on the latest research and methodologies in mental health.

The Teens Advocate Program serves a diverse range of clients, primarily focusing on adolescents and their families who face various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. As a counselor, your work will significantly impact the mental health landscape for young people in the Arlington area, emphasizing empowerment, coping strategies, and resilience.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• An active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards within the counseling profession.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will enhance your application:

• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples counseling, substance use disorders, or trauma-informed care.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software to efficiently manage and document client interactions.

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to USD 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and availability. We also offer:
