Job description

Freedom Technology Solutions Groups is seeking an Information System Security Officer. The Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and Data Transfer Officer (DTO) function ensures the operational security for TAC information systems is maintained. The ISSO works with the configuration management team, and the IT support team to document the configuration of all relevant systems in the Xacta Information Assurance manager database, and ensure compliance with Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503 requirements. The ISSO performs continuous monitoring of vulnerability and security notices and ensures TAC systems remain compliant. The DTO supports the TAC mission by providing file transfer services between security networks. The ISSO/DTO function also provides Automated Information System (AIS) media support, scanning, producing, and dispositioning media used by TAC. This function also provides security review in support of the DQR process, and supports Business Continuity requirements.
Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a Poly
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Science, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative science field.
  • Junior - Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires guidance, as appropriate.
  • Mid - Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Able to develop and use more complex concepts and processes, conduct root cause problem analysis and develop technical solutions to problems. Guides and supports junior level personnel. Requires guidance when dealing with new, uncertain, undefined or undeveloped tasks.
  • Senior - Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Able to develop and use more complex concepts and processes, conduct root cause problem analysis and develop technical solutions to problems. Guides and supports junior level personnel.
