If you are an individual who enjoys a dynamic team environment and are interested in a variety of complex challenges, come join our team as the Infrastructure / Hardware Technology Program Manager of BAE Systems largest program computing environment.
As the Infrastructure / Hardware Technology PM, you will be a core member of the team responsible for the overall management of BAE Systems' largest and growing program computing environment. In this role you will have the opportunity to collaborate across multiple functional engineering groups to ensure the environment meets the needs of the business. As the Infrastructure / Hardware Technology PM, you will be a point of contact between programs and IT for coordination of IT purchases, and support of issue prioritization and resolution. In this role, you will also interface with IT Project Managers and Architects to ensure our planned upgrades to this large network are successful.
  • Coordinate and manage expectations across all stakeholders to ensure the IT environment is effective in meeting the needs of the business.
  • Work with IT operations to ensure they have what they need to deliver timely and effective IT services.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal organization policies and procedures.
  • Point of Contact for coordinating the IT Capital / Expense procurement of user machines, servers and other network attached resources.
  • Support planning, coordination, and execution infrastructure improvement projects to ensure transition without impact to network availability.
  • Project planning, design, and implementation across a variety of IT based initiatives.
  • Research and specify hardware as requested to meet the needs of the business.
  • Support day-to-day tactical tasks (i.e. user moves, currier hardware to other facilities, create and submit System Change Request (SCR) for hardware moves) and other hands-on tasks as needed.

  • Network experience e.g. {Cisco/Juniper Switches, Encryptors and Routing protocols}.
  • Storage and recovery technologies {CIFS/FS interoperability, Enterprise Backup Strategies, and Disaster Recovery}.
  • Understands underlying technologies underpinning application performance.
  • Ability to learn about new technologies and how they could enhance the existing infrastructure.
  • Hardware and Networking experience to assist you with planning and interpreting proposed projects.
  • Ability to design and implement complex solutions.
  • Hardware knowledge for suggesting and purchasing hardware to fill needed requirements
  • Excellent analytic and troubleshooting skills.
