Technical Product Manager
Location: Windsor, CT
Schedule: Onsite for the first 90 days, then hybrid flexibility available
Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 base
Type: Contract-to-Hire, Full-Time, Exempt

About the Opportunity
We're partnering with a growing technology company in Windsor, CT that develops hardware and software solutions centered around Android and Linux-based terminal products. They are seeking a Product Manager who can serve as the bridge between customers, engineering, and internal stakeholders to drive product development from concept through launch.
This is a highly collaborative role where you'll own product requirements, manage product roadmaps, and coordinate cross-functional efforts across engineering, QA, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and customer support to ensure successful product launches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather customer and business requirements and translate them into clear product and engineering specifications.
  • Work closely with hardware and software engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Own and maintain the product roadmap, including planning and prioritization of future releases.
  • Participate in Agile development activities, sprint planning, and project reviews.
  • Partner with QA teams to define testing requirements and validate product performance.
  • Act as the product subject matter expert for Sales, Customer Support, Operations, and other internal teams.
  • Coordinate product launch activities across multiple departments and stakeholders.
  • Track project milestones, timelines, risks, and deliverables to ensure projects stay on schedule.
  • Support products through all stages of development, including alpha, beta, pilot, and commercial launch.
  • Escalate critical issues impacting product functionality, timelines, customer value, security, or compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent Product Management experience).
  • 5+ years of Product Management experience with hardware and software products.
  • Experience working with electronic devices, embedded systems, terminals, kiosks, or similar technology products.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into technical requirements.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes and system architecture.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Proven track record of bringing products successfully to market.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
