We are seeking a Technology Governance Manager to join Zions Bancorporation. The Technology Governance Manager plays a key role in developing, executing, and implementing technology risk management systems and processes that comply with regulatory requirements and business needs. This position is responsible for the risk control self-assessment process for technology, management of integrated control libraries (including SOX controls), audit findings, and MRAs, as well as direct interaction with regulators. The Technology Governance Manager will develop and oversee strategic Technology Risk Programs, including Technology Policy Governance, Risk Assessment, and Compliance Monitoring, and serve as a liaison between risk management teams and internal/external stakeholders. This is an individual contributor position with significant influence, responsible for ongoing risk assessment, reporting, remediation, and providing compliance risk expertise to technology office projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and implement technology risk management systems and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and business needs.
  • Lead the risk control self-assessment process for technology and manage integrated control libraries, including SOX controls.
  • Oversee audit findings, MRAs, and interact directly with regulators.
  • Develop and implement strategic Technology Risk Programs, including policy governance, risk assessment, and compliance monitoring.
  • Serve as liaison between risk management teams and internal/external customers, including auditors, IT, project management, software development, and legal.
  • Monitor and report on the resolution of issues identified in audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Enhance, maintain, and communicate technology policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Manage, track, and report compliance with IT programs and policies across the enterprise.
  • Research and document the impact of changing regulations on IT and information protection programs.
  • Provide technology risk guidance, training, and facilitation to technology business lines; other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in technology risk management, technology governance, or other directly related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of technology risk management techniques, practices, and procedures, as well as technology governance processes.
  • Strong knowledge of information security standards, risk analysis, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in audit or compliance within the banking industry preferred.
  • Excellent problem resolution, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and cross-departmental teams.
  • Strong analysis, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, prioritize, and execute tasks under pressure.
  • Knowledge of related computer applications and software.

This position is fully in office (5 days a week) at the Zions Technology Center - 7860 South Bingham Junction Blvd, Midvale, UT 84047
