Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring an IT Engineer l to join our Engineering Team.

Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a relentless focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves-one that behaves like a doctor in the family.

About the role:

As a key member of the IT Engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting enterprise applications and providing innovative solutions to business challenges through automation. As an IT Engineer l you will be involved in managing user devices, analyzing, installing, modifying, and supporting operating systems and enterprise software. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration and operation of IT systems within the organization.

Work Location: This position is based in our Tempe, AZ office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. #LI-Hybrid

Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role is: $101,844.00 - $133,670.25 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle Single Sign-On (SSO) of new applications with Okta and troubleshoot related issues.
  • Support the Mac OS fleet using Jamf, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for supported applications.
  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of user identities, including provisioning and deprovisioning.
  • Implement and maintain automated workflows for user onboarding and offboarding.
  • Build policies and scripts using vendor APIs for SaaS services such as Google Workspace, Slack, and Zendesk.
  • Provide operational support, including account management, workflow optimization, log analysis, troubleshooting, and performance enhancement.
  • Participate in an on-call schedule to provide emergency services and respond to issues as per monitoring and escalation protocols.
  • Ensure computer systems comply with organizational guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Establish, configure, test, and maintain operating systems and SaaS applications.
  • Ensure rapid response to technical issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of IT experience, with at least 1 year in user support within a cloud-first, modern IT environment.
  • 1+ years of experience in a high-growth SaaS environment.
  • Proficiency in Okta identity and access management.
  • 1+ years of experience using Jamf to manage Mac OS.
