Job description

Saalex is seeking an AMBIT/SIS Technical Specialist in Corona, CA. Saalex is an Engineering and Information Technology Services company with a focus on Test Range Operations and Management, Engineering and Logistics Services, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Services and Information Technology Services.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $100K -$125K (depending on experience)

Work Location: This is a remote position. Preference for candidates near Corona, CA.

Job Summary:

The AMBIT/SIS Technical Specialist supports remote deployment, field integration, system evaluation, and operational sustainment of advanced systems including RF equipment, IT networks, cybersecurity capabilities, telemetry systems, electrical/mechanical integrations, and related technologies.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide systems engineering support for AMBIT and SIS programs, including remote and distributed system environments
  • Support analytics, modeling, and simulation efforts related to local and regional situation awareness
  • Perform requirements analysis, system decomposition, and interface definition
  • Support system architecture development and evaluation of system performance
  • Assist with integration of software, data sources, and remote system components
  • Analyze system behavior, tradeoffs, and performance metrics to support operational decision-making
  • Support system verification, validation, and test planning activities
  • Develop and maintain technical artifacts, including:
  • System design documentation
  • Requirements traceability matrices
  • Interface and operational concept documents
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, analysts, and stakeholders
  • Support lifecycle activities including development, deployment, sustainment, and enhancement

Requirements

Required:

  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in systems engineering
  • Demonstrated experience supporting complex systems in analytical or operational environments
  • Experience with:
    • Requirements analysis and system-level engineering
    • Remote or distributed systems
    • Modeling, simulation, or analytical tools
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with distributed teams

Desired:

  • Experience supporting AMBIT, SIS, or situational awareness systems
