Position Overview
We are seeking a Technical Service Engineer to support engineering releases, production transfers, and post-launch technical activities across multiple manufacturing locations.
This role combines technical problem-solving, manufacturing support, and cross-functional coordination to ensure engineering data accuracy, production readiness, and successful product launches. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supporting manufacturing environments and understands the complexity of OEM program requirements.
This position plays a key role in maintaining engineering documentation integrity, supporting operational excellence, and ensuring smooth implementation of new and transferred production programs.
Key Responsibilities
• Support engineering release activities, ensuring drawings, specifications, and technical documentation are accurate and properly distributed across sites.
• Assist with production transfer and launch activities to ensure smooth implementation and minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
• Provide technical support for post-production issues, warranty feedback, and corrective actions to improve product performance and reliability.
• Maintain engineering documentation control and ensure information is accessible and current across global locations.
• Support efforts to protect proprietary engineering data and ensure secure distribution to manufacturing partners and facilities.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to improve release reliability and operational efficiency.
• Assist in identifying risks and supporting continuous improvement initiatives related to product launch and production support.
Requirements
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Professional Experience
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, product engineering, or technical support in a production environment.
• Experience supporting product launches, engineering changes, or production transfers preferred.
• Exposure to heat exchangers, cooling systems, or thermal management components is strongly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
• Understanding of APQP processes and manufacturing quality requirements.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (such as Plex) and engineering change management processes.
• Proficiency with CAD software (Pro/E, Creo, or similar).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to support cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration across global teams.
Mobility
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support production transfer and launch activities.
