Location: Houston, TX 77090
Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Technical Customer Support & Service Technician to join our Houston team. This position is an important link between our customers, outside service partners, warehouse, and internal teams.

The ideal candidate enjoys helping customers, is comfortable troubleshooting technical issues over the phone, and can stay organized while managing service requests, warranty orders, shipping, and follow-up communication.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in electronic signs, electrical service, low-voltage systems, access control, field service, technical customer support, or service coordination who is looking for a stable, customer-focused role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily phone and technical support for PWM products.
  • Troubleshoot product and service issues with customers and service partners.
  • Provide phone support for PWM Hybrid, Control Gate, and Track sign systems.
  • Prepare warranty and service quotes and convert approved quotes into orders.
  • Coordinate shipment of warranty parts, replacement products, and service materials.
  • Schedule warranty and repair work with sign companies and outside service providers.
  • Communicate service status and follow-up information to customers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service requests, orders, and customer communication.
  • Participate in an after-hours and holiday phone support rotation.
  • Assist with FedEx shipping label creation when needed.
  • Perform quality-control checks on outgoing warehouse shipments.
  • Work closely with the Service Manager, warehouse, sales, and other internal departments.
  • Assist with special projects and additional service-related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in technical customer service, service coordination, electronics, electrical signage, low-voltage systems, field service, or a related environment is preferred.
  • Strong customer-service and communication skills.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting technical problems over the phone.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians, sign companies, and internal departments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple service requests and priorities at the same time.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn company software and product systems.
  • Familiarity with shipping, FedEx, warranty processing, or logistics is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
  • Dependable and willing to participate in after-hours and holiday support rotations.

Experience That Transfers Well

We encourage candidates to apply if they have experience in areas such as:

  • Electronic or electrical signs
  • LED signage or commercial lighting
  • Sign installation or sign service
  • Access control or automatic gates
  • Low-voltage electronics
  • Security systems
  • Parking or traffic-control equipment
  • Petroleum or convenience-store equipment
  • Field service
  • Electronics troubleshooting
  • Warranty or service coordination
  • Technical customer support

We are looking for someone with strong technical aptitude, excellent customer-service skills, and the ability to learn.

Ideal Candidate

You may be a great fit if you are a field or service technician who enjoys troubleshooting but would like to spend less time on the road, or if you are an experienced service coordinator who is comfortable working with technical products and technicians.

The successful candidate will be someone who takes ownership of customer issues, follows through until problems are resolved, and understands the importance of accurate and timely communication.

If you are technically minded, customer-focused, organized, and enjoy solving problems, we encourage you to apply.
