POSITION SUMMARY


The Imaging Technical Assistant supports radiologic technologists and imaging staff in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This role focuses on patient care, room preparation, equipment assistance, and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations within the imaging department.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and assist patients before, during, and after imaging procedures
  • Verify patient identity and assist with preparation for exams (i.e., changing, positioning)
  • Provide clear, calm instructions to patients and address basic comfort needs
  • Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times
  • Assist technologists during imaging procedures as directed
  • Prepare imaging rooms and ensure necessary supplies are stocked and available
  • Clean and disinfect equipment and rooms following infection control protocols
  • Accurately document patient information
Requirements:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE


The Imaging Technical Assistant should have the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, strong communication skills, and possess physical ability to assist with patient mobility if needed. Previous healthcare, radiology, or patient care experience is preferred.
