Job description

We are looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join our team in Irving, Texas (USA). In this role, you will support the Networks team by troubleshooting technical issues, managing support tickets, and assisting with the configuration and operation of Teltonika networking products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning their career in networking or IT support who is eager to learn and develop technical expertise in a fast-growing global IoT organization.
Teltonika's Networking Solutions business unit develops and manufactures industrial and enterprise connectivity equipment, including routers, switches, gateways, and modems. Our networking devices support customers in Industry 4.0, Smart City, Green Energy, and other critical infrastructure applications around the world.
In This Role, You Will:
  • Review, prioritize, and resolve technical support tickets through the company's ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, firmware, and connectivity issues involving Teltonika networking devices.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and case updates accurately within the ticketing system.
  • Perform basic device configuration and testing to replicate reported issues.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers when appropriate.
  • Assist with firmware updates, product testing, and validation of fixes.
  • Maintain internal technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Quality teams to resolve product-related issues.
  • Continuously build knowledge of networking concepts, Linux-based systems, and Teltonika products through training and hands-on experience.
What We Expect of You:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience in technical support, help desk, networking, IT, or a related role (internships and academic projects welcome).
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
  • Familiarity with Wi-Fi technologies and common internet protocols.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to document technical issues clearly and accurately.
  • Excellent written communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn Linux-based operating systems and networking technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple support tickets while maintaining attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with routers, switches, or other networking equipment.
  • Exposure to Linux operating systems through coursework, labs, or personal projects.
  • Basic understanding of VPNs, VLANs, firewalls, or network security concepts.
  • Experience using ticketing systems or IT service management tools.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or similar certifications are a plus but not required.
