Recruitment Notes

This is advanced secretarial and related clerical work performed for responsible County officials, administrators, and managers. Employees in this class typically perform advanced secretarial duties for a Section Head official who reports to an exempt Division Director or other exempt executive at the divisional level or higher. The work involves performing a wide range of secretarial duties, including preparing correspondence, managing schedules, coordinating meetings, assisting with travel requests, maintaining records, performing data entry, database management, supporting departmental projects, operating computer systems, word processing applications, typewriters, and other office equipment. Responsibilities also include assigning and reviewing the work of lower-level clerical staff and preparing a variety of reports, forms, invoices, requisitions, and correspondence containing technical, or specialized terminology. Supervision is received from an administrative official who reviews work for the efficient and effective performance of secretarial duties in support of unit operations.
