Technical Project Manager
Job Type: Full-Time, Regular
Salary Range: $75k - $100k

Networking Technologies + Support (NTS) is a technology services organization focused on delivering reliable IT, professional services, managed services, and technology solutions to our clients.
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our Business Operations team. This position is ideal for a technically minded project professional who can coordinate service delivery, manage client expectations, monitor project performance, and work collaboratively with technical teams, vendors, sales, accounting, and leadership.
The Technical Project Manager will serve as a "player/coach," combining project management responsibilities with the ability to provide technical guidance and support when working with clients and internal teams.
Position Summary
The Technical Project Manager is responsible for helping ensure effective daily service delivery, overall client satisfaction, achievement of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and accurate and timely reporting.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, customer-focused, adaptable, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with technical and business teams.
This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage changing priorities while maintaining deadlines and service commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Project Coordination
Coordinate service delivery between clients, NTS Professional Services, backline support, and other internal teams.
Coordinate subcontractor and subordinate activities when applicable.
Coordinate communication with the Integration team and technical resources.
Monitor assigned projects and service activities to ensure work is completed according to client requirements and established SLAs.
Monitor open tickets, projects, and service activities and follow up on outstanding items.
Escalate issues appropriately to ensure timely resolution.
Respond to client questions regarding contracts and projects.
Provide program and project management services as directed by the Director of Project Management.
Promptly assess new Sales Support Requests (SSRs) and take appropriate action.
Client Relationship Management
Participate in meetings and conference calls with key clients.
Maintain strong client relationships and help ensure overall customer satisfaction.
Respond professionally and promptly to client concerns and complaints.
Manage client expectations in coordination with the Sales Team.
Provide technical guidance to clients when appropriate.
Identify and escalate issues that may affect client satisfaction or service delivery.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare and submit required reporting in accordance with customer Statements of Work and SLAs.
Ensure project and service information is accurate, complete, and submitted within required timeframes.
Maintain accurate and timely updates within the NTS corporate BMS/ticketing system.
Document technical work, findings, project status, and required follow-up.
Use available data and analytics to support recommendations and project decisions.
Ensure labor and materials associated with assigned projects are accurately updated for reporting and billing purposes.
Billing & Administrative Support
Coordinate with Accounting to facilitate accurate and timely customer and supplier invoicing.
Review project information to support accurate client billing.
Follow up on billing-related items and discrepancies.
Maintain accurate project and service documentation.
Assist with project administration and other operational reporting as required.
Team & Vendor Collaboration
Coordinate communication between clients, engineers, technical teams, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments.
Attend required customer and vendor conference calls.
Coordinate with engineers to ensure technical issues and open calls are appropriately monitored and updated.
Assist the Director of Project Management with vendor partnership management.
Collaborate with the Sales Team to support client expectations and account objectives.
Business Development & Service Expansion
Provide input into the development of new NTS service offerings.
Identify opportunities where additional NTS services could improve client support.
Help identify potential opportunities for expanding services within existing client accounts.
Generate and communicate qualified sales leads to the Director of Project Management.
Professional Development
Maintain knowledge of NTS policies, procedures, services, and business practices.
Stay current with relevant technology and industry developments.
Obtain NTS-recommended certifications as applicable.
Apply lessons learned from previous projects to improve future performance.
Contribute ideas and recommendations that support NTS's operational and customer-service goals.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree in Information Systems or related field or equivalent technical training, military experience, education, and/or professional experience.
Approximately 2-3 years of related experience and/or training demonstrating an understanding of common project-management processes.
PMP certification or equivalent technical project-management experience, training, or military experience.
Strong understanding of technical project-management processes.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines despite changing priorities.
Strong client-service skills.
Strong mathematical and mechanical reasoning skills.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and document technical work.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documentation, manuals, journals, and/or schematics.
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and Windows operating systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.
Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling client and company information.
