Job description

Summary

The role of the Client Project Manager is to lead and guide the execution of all the activities related to the overall contract execution including: cost control, scheduling, engineering, design, procurement, fabrication, field construction (if applicable), scope changes from project award through field commissioning for targeted clients.  This work along with any other required data must be accomplished while complying with the company standards, the project proposal and the clients' specifications or input.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties
  • Client main point of contact for all engineering, manufacturing, and field construction concerns, questions, or comments.
  • Develop and build the customer relationship between the Enerflex and key clients.
  • Initiating as required all internal / external meetings.
  • Participate in customer meetings:  Kickoff meetings, P&ID, Hazop, and Design reviews.
  • Participate in technical & project execution questions and problems.
  • Coordination and supervision of all activities related to the overall project execution including engineering, material requisition/expediting, schedule preparation, cost control, delivery/shipping and quality.
  • Communicate and maintain a feedback loop between all parts of the values stream.
  • Initiate internal meetings associated with scheduling, feedback, lesson learned, costings, availability, and standardization.
  • Continuously work on improvements (cost, functionality, scheduling, etc...) for all Client products and communicate changes/improvements to all parts of Enerflex values stream.
  • Consistently advises management concerning client relations/issues.
  • Resolve issues that impact schedule, problem solve potential design, commissioning and/or warranty issues for projects.
  • Travel to site locations to solicit feedback on scope, quality, commissioning / start-up concerns, operability, cost savings, as well as support for products.
  • Manage all technical, commercial, contractual and fabrication requirements, from project initiation to closeout, in accordance with Enerflex internal processes and the project execution plan as established in the proposal phase.
  • Organizes the work and project team within the parameters of the company's standards
  • Concurrent management of multiple client projects.
  • Preparation of progress report including managing of performance and progress against the plan and ensure accurate forecasts with commensurate action plans.
  • Protect margin due to scope change; monitor and control project costs using change order management.
  • Validation and oversight of project schedule timelines.
  • Demonstrates strong scope control skills and change management skills.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the financial goals of the project and what they represent.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the Cost Control tools and procedures.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the schedule tools, procedures, and work process.
  • Supports the project team in negotiations with major suppliers, subcontractors, licensors, consultants, and others.
  • Demonstrates consistency and clear judgement as unexpected problems or opportunities arise.
  • Demonstrates Integrity and company core values.
  • Ensures quality standards are met in compliance with health, safety, security and environmental codes and standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of Project Management Experience.
  • BS Degree is required (Engineering preferred).
  • Working knowledge of reciprocating compression packages.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License or Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.
  • Strong self starter skills and ability to perform successfully with limited supervision.
  • Versatile team building skills and ability to coordinate multifunctional teams.
  • Solid Computer/Software/Program skills.
  • Strong design experience as well as a thorough knowledge of codes and safety legislation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work closely in a team environment with all internal / external stakeholders.
  • Fully comfortable in dealing with customers, fabrication and management teams in the USA and International market place.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to perform successfully with limited supervision.
  • EPC Project experience along with exposure to fabrication facilities is a must.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, aptitude for innovation and long term career interests.
Physical Requirements

Fast-paced general office environment. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity. Domestic and international travel is possible on occasion (<15%).
