Riverside Research is an independent National Security Nonprofit dedicated to research and development in the national interest. We provide high-end technical services, research and development, and prototype solutions to some of the country's most challenging technical problems.

Position Overview
Riverside Research has an enduring legacy of excellent support to the Department of War and our managers are crucial to that success. In our Engineering and Support Solutions Directorate we are looking for an experienced Program Manager to lead research and development programs on behalf of the Air Force customer. This individual will manage a large technically diverse team, fostering customer relationships, overseeing financials, cost, and schedule for a variety of projects and contracts. This position requires a leader with a proven track record of providing their staff growth opportunities by identifying, capturing, and winning new contract work in addition to on-contract growth to expand their portfolio and diversify our customer base.
Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain effective customer relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Supervise and mentor a large, technically diverse team
  • Execute independently program management duties that include, but are not limited to, managing day-to-day operations, maintaining work plans and timelines, tracking and projecting program spending, preparing status reports/briefs, and ensuring program status is communicated to all stakeholders
  • Work closely with the customer, cross-functional teams, and assigned engineers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, resources, work plan, budget, and schedule
  • Collaborate with government customers, contractor partners, and technical leads to develop long-term strategies and prioritize near-term tasking
  • Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with government and contract mission partners across the Department of War (DoW)
  • Manage subcontracting, consulting, and procurement activities for assigned programs
  • Assess program issues and develop resolutions to meet schedule, quality, and customer goals
  • Identify and capture new growth opportunities to expand business portfolio
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI/SAP
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business/Management/Entrepreneurship, or related fields
  • 12+ years total years experience and a Bachelors degree (5+ years of relevant experience with the Department of War and 5+ years of program management experience and 3+ years of experience managing a technically diverse team)
  • Prior program management experience with a DoW contractor required
  • Must have recent experience managing R&D programs
  • Proven track record of identifying, capturing, and solidifying new work along with on-contract growth opportunities
  • Experience managing financials across a variety of projects and contracts
  • Experience managing subcontractors, consultants, and procurement activities
  • Experience in Proposal Development
  • Demonstrated experience creating and presenting reports, briefings, and program related information to a variety of government and internal stakeholders
