The TPM ensures that technical decisions, open issues, design changes, validation activities, manufacturing concerns, and customer requirements are coordinated across the ABS product portfolio in alignment with program timing, quality, cost, and launch objectives.
The TPM is responsible for managing technical complexity across multiple programs, supporting issue resolution, driving alignment between Engineering and Program Management, and ensuring post-launch product activities are planned, tracked, and executed effectively.

  • Work with functional management to track adherence to approved headcount and utilization of cross-functional engineering resources for approved and planned projects and ensure adequate engineering resources are available.
  • Manage cross project technical coordination of sustaining engineering activities, including post-launch product changes, customer concerns, production support issues, engineering changes, cost reduction initiatives, quality improvements, and continuous improvement actions.
  • Drive read-across of key learnings, risks, technical issues, corrective actions, and customer or production concerns between programs, and verify follow-through of lessons learned at the functional department level.
  • Support the development, communication, and execution of technical program plans, timing plans, deliverables, open issue lists, risk registers, and action trackers across the product portfolio.
  • Identify, communicate, and escalate technical risks, timing concerns, resource constraints, design issues, validation gaps, manufacturing concerns, and customer-impacting issues.
  • Coordinate portfolio-level visibility of engineering changes, product updates, field or production concerns, validation status, supplier-related technical issues, and customer-driven technical requests.
  • Partner with Program Management to align engineering technical execution with project scope, timing, budget, resource plans, customer commitments, and phase delivery expectations across the portfolio.
  • Assist in prioritizing engineering and sustaining activities across the portfolio based on customer impact, production risk, launch timing, technical complexity, cost, quality, and business priorities.
  • Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to coordinate containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and implementation plans for product or process issues.
  • Monitor technical dependencies across programs and identify opportunities to leverage common solutions, shared learnings, standard work, and improved processes across the product portfolio.
