Job description

Technical Team Chief

The Opportunity:

Bring in-depth understanding and expertise to one or more aspects of service or joint missions, processes, and culture. Apply advanced military skills and extensive technical expertise, including full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and work in conjunction with the client. Mentor and manage team members ensuring Army missions are fully supported and executed through the management of employees, performance to Warfighter Exercises (WFX), Risk Reduction Events (RREs), and steady-state activities. Lead and manage technical staff, including programmers, software engineers, and system administrators, assigned to support the client's Technical Support Team (TST) responsible for setup, configuration, execution, and tear down of simulation and tactical equipment for WFX. Oversee development of WARSIM databases, personnel deployment to multiple locations worldwide. Manage and oversee WARSIM testing and validation for WFX.

You Have:

  • Experience as a former Field Grade Officer
  • Experience as a subject matter expert in models and simulations
  • Knowledge of Army and Joint doctrine
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a complex, dynamic environment
  • Ability to work as a member of a larger team
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • DoD.01-M Information Assurance Management Certification
  • Graduate of an Intermediate Level Military Education, including MEL4

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience as a former FA57
  • Experience as a Colonel O-6 or above
  • Experience serving on a Division or Corps level staff position
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
