To thrive as a Technical Program Coordinator, you need strong organizational skills, project management experience, and a solid understanding of technical concepts, often supported by a degree in a related field. Familiarity with project management tools like Jira or Asana, and sometimes certifications such as PMP or Agile/Scrum, are typically required. Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities are soft skills that set candidates apart. These competencies are vital for successfully coordinating complex projects, ensuring alignment between technical teams and business goals, and delivering programs on time and within scope.

How does a Technical Program Coordinator typically collaborate with cross-functional teams during project execution?

A Technical Program Coordinator acts as a crucial bridge between engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure projects stay on track. They facilitate regular meetings, manage project documentation, and help resolve issues by ensuring clear communication among all stakeholders. This role often involves tracking deliverables, following up on action items, and making sure everyone is aligned with project goals and timelines. Successful coordinators are proactive in anticipating roadblocks and excel at building relationships across departments.

Technical Program Manager - Deployments

Bedrock Robotics

New York, NY • On-site

Full-time

Job description

Join the team bringing advanced autonomy to the built world
At Bedrock, we're moving AI out of the lab and into the real world. Our team is composed of industry veterans who helped launch Waymo, scaled Segment to a $3.2B acquisition, and grew Uber Freight to $5B in revenue. Today, we're deploying autonomous systems on heavy construction machinery across the country, accelerating project schedules of billion-dollar infrastructure projects and improving safety on job sites. Backed by $350M in funding, we're working quickly to close the gap between America's surging demand for housing, data centers, manufacturing hubs, and the construction industry's growing labor shortage.
This is where algorithms meet steel-toed boots. You'll collaborate with construction veterans and world-class engineers to solve physical-world problems that simulations can't touch. If you're ready to apply cutting-edge technology to solve meaningful problems alongside a talented team-we'd love to have you join us.
About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead the planning and execution of autonomous system deployments across partner construction sites. This role owns cross-functional timelines, drives launch readiness, and ensures alignment across engineering, operations, safety, product, and partnership teams.
You will operate at the center of complex deployments- ensuring teams are aligned from early planning through site activation and translating technical systems into executable plans. A key part of this role is defining how customers successfully operate our systems by building scalable, digital operating manuals that bridge technical complexity and real-world use.
This role also plays a critical part in scaling deployments by building repeatable frameworks, improving workflows (including AI-driven processes), and enabling consistent, high-quality launches across sites and platforms.
What You'll Do
Deployment Program Management
  • Build and own cross-functional deployment timelines and program rollup
  • Serve as program owner for deployment launches
  • Ensure launch readiness across engineering validation, operational readiness, and safety protocols
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and critical path items; drive resolution
  • Lead deployment reporting in program reviews, ensuring clear visibility into progress, blockers, and outcomes
  • Build and evolve a repeatable deployment playbook
  • Standardize processes and improve deployment framework using AI-driven workflows and tools
Launch Approval
  • Manage complex and first-of-kind deployments
  • Provide additional coordination for high-complexity or early-stage programs
  • Ensure alignment between internal plans and field execution
  • Support onsite teams during critical launch phases as needed

Customer Operating System & Enablement
  • Define how partners interact with and operate autonomous systems in real-world environments
  • Translate complex robotic systems into clear, practical, and scalable operating instructions
  • Continuously evolve operating manual based on field learnings, edge cases, and customer feedback
  • Enable consistent onboarding, training, and independent operation across partner sites
What Success Looks Like
  • On-time, predictable execution of deployment timelines
  • High-quality launch readiness across engineering, operations, and safety
  • Clear, effective digital operating manual enabling customer independence
  • Repeatable deployment processes that improve with each launch
  • Effective execution of complex and first-of-kind programs
What We're Looking For
Required
  • 5+ years experience in both technical program management and operations, or deployment roles
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional programs across engineering and operations
  • Strong planning skills: timelines, dependencies, and risk management
  • Ability to translate technical systems into structured plans and clear documentation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support onsite launches
  • Familiarity with AI-driven tools or workflow automation

Preferred
  • Experience supporting new product or platform launches
  • Experience building scalable customer-facing documentation or training systems
Why This Role Matters
This role is critical to scaling deployment operations. You will ensure teams are aligned, launches are executed effectively, and systems are in place to support repeatable, high-quality deployments. Your work will directly enable the successful rollout and long-term adoption of autonomous technology in real-world environments.
Our roles are often flexible. If you don't fit all the criteria, or are in another location (especially one where we have an office like SF or NY) please apply anyway! We'd love to consider you.
