POSITION SUMMARY:

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all technical elements of live, hybrid, and virtual events - from planning through execution. This role serves as the bridge between creative vision and flawless technical delivery, ensuring every production element aligns with the eventโ€™s goals, timeline, and budget.


The ideal candidate is a detail-obsessed problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments and knows how to lead teams of AV vendors, engineers, and technical staff with confidence and precision.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the Logistics Team and clients during pre-production to define technical requirements, formats, and show flow, while also participating in client calls to contribute to creative direction and sales - including content creation oversight and stage design as well as assess technical needs such as equipment and staffing for live staffing for live shows
  • Sourcing and comparing vendor partners, proposing stage sets, negotiating contracts, loading-in/out of technology and equipment (as needed), calling shows and producing conferences and event programs.
  • Lead and manage all technical production aspects alongside equipment partners: AV, staging, lighting, video, streaming, power, and IT infrastructure
  • Work with the Head of Marketing to collaborate and generate creative content for clients including sizzle reels, video graphics, etc.
  • Translate creative concepts into executable technical solutions, anticipating potential challenges
  • Develop and manage production timelines, budgets, vendor quotes, and labor schedules
  • Serve as the technical point of contact during site visits, load-ins, rehearsals, and live events
  • Work hand in hand and maintain strong vendor relationships and negotiate best pricing and quality standards, load in/out, travel, meals, etc. and maintain contact and records with each vendor on the status and details of each event; develop and grow vendor relationships to ensure efficiency and control costs
  • Review and understand EES Service Agreements and Addendums
  • Ensure safety, compliance, and quality assurance across all technical deliverables
  • Troubleshoot in real-time to maintain a smooth guest and client experience
  • Understand hotel/venue contracts and diligently work with appropriate contacts to ensure in-house vendor requirements and costs are understood, budgeted and accommodated
  • Coordinate budgets; establish, maintain and continually update records of client activities within the database with requests, changes, additions and deletions; ensure the profitability of each client program meets company and contract goals
  • Maintain high-level personal contact with clients to ensure quality control and client satisfaction while implementing and growing the program(s)
  • Participate in site inspections as requested by Relationships, Logistics, and clients
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours based on event schedules
  • Understanding of contracts and legal terms
  • Acute attention to detail; admirable written, analytical and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills with hands-on knowledge of Google (Sheets, Docs, Gmail) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); Viper, NetSuite and ClickUp experience beneficial but not required
  • Experience with CAD or Vectorworks is preferred
  • Familiarity with production management software (e.g., Shoflo, Basecamp, Monday.com) is preferred
  • Background in either technical direction or stage management is a plus
