Job description

CSR/Order Management Specialist

This position is responsible for managing the customer relationship, delivery flow, and ensuring new items are set up in the ERP system by performing the following duties.

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Monitors all inventory and adjusts levels as needed per known customer demands
  • Places orders with vendors to ensure raw material and components are at the proper inventory levels to meet customer demands.
  • Create job orders for components and top level parts per customer demand
  • Prioritize shop schedule based on customer order due dates and lead time for outside services
  • Coordinate with customer on shipping requirements
  • Notifies customer designated shipping companies of product that is ready for pick up
  • Coordinates with shipping department on any special packaging requirements
  • Monitors returnable packaging and informs customer when more is needed
  • Ensure Purchase Orders received meet quoted price, revision level and lead time.
  • Oversee and coordinate daily shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Receives and responds to customer inquiries.
  • Confers with production, sales, shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to determine status of customer order.
  • Compiles statistics and prepares various reports for management.
  • Filing of documents.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate in executing work impacting customer satisfaction.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize requirements and activities.
  • Informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.
  • Checks inventory control and notify stock control departments of orders that would deplete stock.
  • All other duties as assigned
