Location: Rockford, TN
Employment Type: Temp to perm

Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | 1st Shift (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM)

We are seeking a hands-on Technical Support Specialist to support day-to-day mechanical processing and production operations for detector materials used in advanced imaging applications. Key Responsibilities
  • Operate production equipment to support mechanical processing and manufacturing activities
  • Perform cutting, sectioning, and shaping operations using wire saws, ID saws, OD saws, and related equipment
  • Support grinding, polishing, surface finishing, and post-processing activities according to established procedures
  • Prepare, load, unload, clean, and maintain equipment and work areas
  • Follow work instructions, manufacturing procedures, and inspection requirements
  • Track samples, document process parameters, and maintain accurate production records
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and R&D teams to support troubleshooting and process improvements
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards

Qualifications
Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, production, machine shop, laboratory, or technical processing environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain quality standards
  • Comfortable performing repetitive precision-based tasks
Preferred:
  • Experience with wire saws, ID saws, OD saws, grinding, polishing, lapping, cutting, or precision sample preparation
  • Experience with optical inspection, dimensional inspection, or measurement tools
  • Familiarity with documentation processes, sample tracking, EHS procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives
