Position Summary
Test Manager purpose is to provide safe test training, instruct, plan and control the final test product to be submitted to the customer. This person will need to have a very solid understanding of Safety, Testing, and Test theory. This job requires obscure hours with many calls not during business hours. It is a requirement to be available and handle these calls.
Reports To: VP Gas Turbine Manufacturing
Work Location: 2001 Proenergy Blvd, Sedalia, MO 65301
Position Responsibilities
  • Manage Schedule for all HV activities, including equipment location
    • Provide updated schedule to HV support on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday by close of business each day.
    • Job Folders to be supplied by Shop Supervisor, and or Project managers.
    • Work with Shop Supervisor to ensure proper out of service time for maintenance of equipment.
  • Proposal stage, verify PES HV can meet or exceed Proposed testing scope.
  • Create Site Specific test plans.
  • Create Test Processes and Procedures (for operational uniformity, and accountability).
  • Determine test equipment needed for Testing Scope.
  • Communicate with site lead while testing to ensure all testing is completed and data is verified prior to leaving site.
  • Answer field test questions, help resolve issues and source needed assets to complete the testing scope with the lease amount of disruption to the schedule.
  • Collect Raw data and convert to ProEnergy/Customer test report to be submitted as final product. Maintain this report in the job folder.
  • โ€œSafe Testโ€ Training, Develop a Safety Training Syllabus for Testing.
  • Develop training matrix specifically for tracking test training.
  • Develop Syllabus for training, Outside PES normal testing scope.
  • Provide yearly (at a minimum) training for all qualified testers/and trainees.
  • Maintain training records for Testing.
  • On time delivery of Final product (test report) to the PM (Average 3-5 days from De-Mob).
  • Creation of training Records.
  • Verification of updates to Training records on a quarterly basis.
  • Accuracy of test reports, to be determined by logged โ€œWarranty Re-test situations.โ€
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or 3-5 years of relevant sales experience in a high voltage industry.
  • Hands-on experience with JDโ€‘CF6 and LM6000 engine operation, including shaft alignment, brush generator maintenance, and demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment and plant controls for turbine engine plant applications
  • LM6000 and LM25000 operations amp; maintenance (O amp;M) services experience is a plus.
  • On Start-Up, monitor and report on system performance against design specifications, be accountable for directing performance testing
  • Work with project manager to coordinate participation of vendor representatives during commissioning
  • Experience with and knowledge of transformers and other high voltage equipment.
  • Advanced technical, analytical, and financial proficiency- demonstrates strong capability in evaluating complex systems and making dataโ€‘driven decisions.

  • Sound decisionโ€‘making under pressure- consistently exercises good judgment in urgent or emergency situations.
  • Experience in power plant operations and maintenance - handsโ€‘on background in managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing plant systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and ISO compliance requirements- ensures adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • A strong understanding of the lines of business they are representing based on their assigned track.
  • Ability to deliver presentations to prospective clients.
  • Must be capable of travel with co-worker to engage client meetings on an as needed basis to progress inquiries.
  • Requires extensive use of business phone, sales database, sales software and networks.
  • Basic reading, writing, speaking, and arithmetic skills required in the respective language for the area assigned.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must be fluent in English, with strong speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check
