Technical Marketing Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA
Department: Marketing

About Nile

Nile is a fast-growing company based in San Jose, CA that is redefining how organizations consume and operate secure wired and wireless networks. Our secure, as-a-service platform simplifies networking to accelerate digital initiatives and business objectives. We are passionate about building innovative technology that radically reduces complexity, risk, and costโ€”delivering better outcomes for IT teams, end users and their organizations.

Role Overview

Weโ€™re looking for a seasoned Technical Marketing Engineer who will play a critical role in shaping how Nileโ€™s story is conveyed to customers, prospects, partners, and the broader market. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, handsโ€‘on demonstration and storytellingโ€”able to translate complex concepts into compelling proofsโ€‘ofโ€‘concept, product demos, and sales enablement material that demonstrates exactly how a technology solves realโ€‘world problems.

They will collaborate closely with Product Management, Sales, and Partner teams to define compelling positioning and differentiation, goโ€‘toโ€‘market content, and narratives that fuel customer adoption and company growth.

Responsibilities
  • Narratives & Storytelling: Craft compelling visual narratives for customers, prospects, and partners that connect technical innovation to business outcomes.
  • Demo & Content Development: Own the creation of key marketing assets including product demonstrations, explainer videos, sales playbooks, and handsโ€‘on labs.
  • Sales Enablement: Partner with Sales and Channel teams to build whitepapers, design guides and presentations that equip field teams to effectively sell Nileโ€™s solutions.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay close to customer pain points, market dynamics, and competitive trends to ensure messaging remains relevant and differentiated.
  • Competitive Analysis: Evaluate competitor offerings to understand technical advantages, limitations, and pricing structures.
  • Collaboration: Work sideโ€‘byโ€‘side with Product Marketing, Product Managers and Engineering teams to align on roadmap priorities, proof points, and technical validation.
  • Product Launches: Create technical collateral and enablement material through benchmarks, interoperability and operational workflows.
  • Events & Tradeshows: Staff Nile and partner events and tradeshows as needed. Travel may be required.
Qualifications
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in a preโ€‘sales, technical marketing, or systems engineering role working with wired/wireless/security deployments. Familiarity with operational issues across Day 0, 1 and 2 would be very beneficial.
  • Strong background in infrastructure technologyโ€”preferably wired and/or wireless networking, security, or cloud.
  • Conversant in AI tools to amplify productivity.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for different audiences.
  • Proven experience building compelling visual content and demonstrations.
  • Success developing marketing content and sales collateral that drives adoption and revenue.
  • Experience collaborating with crossโ€‘functional teams in highโ€‘growth or startup environments.
  • Selfโ€‘starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastโ€‘paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work out of our San Jose, CA office at least 4โ€‘days a week.
Why Nile
  • Pushing boundaries as part of a visionary redefining enterprise networking and security.
  • Collaborate with an exceptional team of technologists and operators, as well as forwardโ€‘thinking customers.
  • Shape and amplify the voice of a company recognized by Gartner as a visionary in secure networking delivered asโ€‘aโ€‘service.
  • Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits package commensurate with experience.
