Role Overview
We are seeking a technical leader to head Mass Market Technical Support for the Americas within the CAS organization.
• Lead NXP FAEs supporting Mass Market customers and distribution partners
• Drive technical alignment and capability across distributor FAE teams
• Shape how we scale embedded solutions through our channel ecosystem
• Recruit, coach, and develop new college graduates as a foundational element of the Mass Market technical talent strategy
This is a high-impact leadership role with regional responsibility, ideal for a hands-on technical leader ready to expand scope and influence across both direct and partner-based technical models. A critical component of success will be building a sustainable talent pipeline through structured development of early-career engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Americas Mass Market Technical Execution
• Manage and develop NXP FAEs supporting Mass Market customers
• Establish clear technical priorities aligned to growth initiatives
• Ensure consistent positioning of NXP's embedded, connectivity, and AI solutions
Enable and Influence Distribution Technical Ecosystem
• Partner with distribution technical leadership to align support strategy
• Drive scalable training, certification, and enablement programs
• Participate in joint business and technical reviews with key distributors
• Elevate distributor FAE capability in embedded processing and edge AI
Drive Growth Through Technical Engagement
• Support design-in strategies across microcontrollers, processors, connectivity, and system solutions
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Lines, Marketing, and Engineering to align technical execution
• Contribute to measurable improvements in design wins, funnel growth, and customer expansion
Build and Develop Talent
• Recruit, coach, and develop FAEs
• Establish structured onboarding and development paths for new college graduates
• Build a sustainable early-career technical pipeline
• Coach for technical depth, customer influence, and business acumen
• Foster a performance-driven, customer-first culture
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
• 7-10 years of experience in Field Applications, Product Engineering, or Technical Support roles
• Prior people leadership experience (formal or team lead capacity)
• Strong background in embedded systems, microcontrollers, and system-level architecture
• Experience with AI-enabled embedded systems or edge computing architectures preferred
• Demonstrated experience working with semiconductor distribution and distributor technical support teams
• Experience developing early-career engineers or new college graduates preferred
• Solid understanding of business development and design-in cycles
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
