About the role:

Onsite opportunity at the Diablo Canyon, CA facility. Reporting to the Manager of Procurement Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

You will help procure materials and services for nuclear power plant systems and components at Diablo Canyon. This role interfaces across engineering, maintenance, and supply chain functions to ensure technically compliant, efficient, and cost-effective procurement solutions.

Perform technical procurement activities including:

- Create material masters

- Develop purchase requisitions

- Support of bill of materials (BOM) updates

Conduct technical evaluations including item equivalency assessments and engineering reviews

Use SAP and other enterprise systems to implement and support procurement activities

You will collaborate with teams (engineering, maintenance, supply chain)

Support interpretation of engineering specifications, including ASME and environmental qualification (EQ) requirements

Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and nuclear quality requirements

Support supplier engagement and procurement execution in a high-demand plant environment

Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in Nuclear Power (required)

Experience in supply chain, procurement engineering, or technical procurement support

At least Associate's degree in a technical discipline OR equivalent hands-on experience

Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline

Experience with nuclear power plant systems, structures, and components

Familiarity with Diablo Canyon Power Plant (DCPP) systems and procurement procedures

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Experience working across engineering, maintenance, and supply chain disciplines

Proficiency in SAP (engineering, work control, and supply chain modules)

Experience performing technical procurement reviews of services and materials

Knowledge of ASME, EQ, and nuclear quality standards
