Responsibilities
  • Responsible for management and oversight of all aspects of the administration of the Slot Technical Department including slot maintenance, repair, modifications, moves, technical systems, equipment and hardware. Assists with managing slot performance property support activities inclusive of planning, procurement, installation implementation, and ongoing support for all slot systems located at the property.
  • Responsible for supervising and managing staff in the Slot Tech department. Develops, implements and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Create effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department and providing recommendations; ensuring compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to manager.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise. Responsible for the overall achievement of department customer service goals.
  • Responsible for oversight of electronic gaming device activities for adherence to established procedures.
  • Responsible for the administration, maintenance, and integrity of all slot management systems, player tracking systems, progressive systems, bonusing systems, cashless gaming technologies, and related gaming technology infrastructure.
  • Responsible for all material inventory and ensures accurate par levels are maintained.
  • Makes final determinations regarding types of materials, supplies, or tools to be used within established guidelines.
  • Maintains accountability for all gaming assets, parts inventory, tools, test equipment, and technology resources assigned to the department. Establishes inventory controls and conducts periodic audits to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  • Responsible for layouts to installations of slot machines.
  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing gaming floor projects including new game installations, expansions, relocations, conversions, lease returns, product trials, and capital improvement initiatives.
  • Manages and directs preventative maintenance of slot machines.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of machine malfunctions and player tracking system problems. Review correspondence needed to move, convert, or install slot related equipment.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of progressive systems, bonusing systems, cashless gaming technologies, and related gaming technology platforms.
  • Responsible for the repair, maintenance and performance of all slots and related gaming equipment.
  • Responsible for oversight of progressive gaming systems, including progressive installations, transfers, removals, resets, reconciliations, meter verification, and related regulatory documentation.
  • Responsible for the development, interpretation, and implementation of departmental policies, operating procedures, and training programs, manuals, directives, work schedules, rules and regulations of the Slot Technical department.
  • Make recommendations concerning the research, development, evaluation, and implementation of new products, services, technologies, and processes to ensure the property’s competitive position.
  • Assists with the plan and submission for movements and conversions of slot machines, based on analysis of gaming floor.
  • Assists Boomtown Casino Biloxi as needed.
  • Assists with the creation of reports and data review to make recommendations regarding floor mix of slot machines, hold adjustments, and new game availability in order to consistently maximize the profitability of the slot floor.
  • Assists with reviewing reports on slot machine analysis and makes appropriate recommendations to maximize profitability of respective machines.
  • Reviews slot performance, machine reliability, downtime, utilization, and maintenance trends and makes recommendations to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Prepares slot reports by collecting, formatting, analyzing, and explaining information.
  • Develops and maintains operational reporting, performance dashboards, and key performance indicators related to Slot Technical operations.
  • Prepares ad-hoc reporting for Slots operations.
  • Serves as the primary contact for gaming manufacturers, service providers, and technology vendors regarding equipment performance, maintenance, warranty issues, service support, and gaming technology initiatives.
  • Participates in the evaluation, testing, implementation, and support of new gaming technologies, cashless gaming solutions, and operational enhancements.
Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university; and a minimum of five years comparable slot analytic/ management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of three years in Slot technical management preferred.
  • Must be able to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends according to business needs.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Excel). Must have knowledge of Slot operating systems.
  • Ability to bring about results from ordinary circumstances; prepare for problems or opportunities in advance; transform leads into productive business outcomes; undertake additional responsibilities and respond to situations as they arise without supervision.
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft applications and have working knowledge of Slot operating systems.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
