THE WORK:
  • You'll provide on-the-ground commercial management support to ensure the client is financially and contractually protected across all data center projects.
  • You'll manage and report on all commercial issues regularly to maintain transparency and accountability.
  • You'll lead the Cost Trend Management (CTM) process by identifying scope changes, market shifts, and risks impacting project budgets.
  • You'll ensure EPC teams understand the baseline estimates, including scope, cost, and execution assumptions.
  • You'll set up cost reporting correctly at design kick-off, ensuring accurate budget breakdowns and CTM data integration.
  • You'll chair bi-weekly CTM meetings with key stakeholders, drive actionable outcomes, and document meeting minutes.
  • You'll update the CTM log to reflect cost changes, root causes, and review stages for accurate project tracking.
  • You'll participate in design reviews to track cost changes from concept to final design stages.
  • You'll capture and log client-driven changes for review and approval in the CTM process.
  • You'll support cost estimation, QA cost trend reports, and provide quarterly feedback to improve CTM tools and processes.
  • Flexible: The work location for this role will include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office or center.

HEREโ€™S WHAT YOUโ€™LL NEED:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Construction Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying or related field AND 5+ years of related experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing the estimating or commercials on a major construction portfolio
  • 5+ years of experience of commercial management during pre-construction of major construction projects
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
  • Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) full membership or equivalent
  • Commercial knowledge of construction internationally
  • 5+ years of experience working on construction contracts used internationally
  • Excellent communication skills, experience collaborating with all other areas of the datacenter program with an ability to think strategically and build the trust of our construction partners needed to agree very large construction contracts and final accounts
