Job description

Senior Technical Program ManagerRole Overview

We’re looking for a high-accountability operator to serve as the execution engine across our organization. This role sits at the center of Account Management, Development, Customer Service, and Analytics and owns how work gets defined, structured, and delivered.

You will take loosely defined ideas, client needs, or internal requests and turn them into clear, actionable plans that are ready for development. You reduce noise, remove ambiguity, and ensure teams are aligned and moving.

This role is critical to protecting delivery quality, timelines, and margin while reducing the day-to-day execution burden on leadership.

What You’ll Do
  • Turn incomplete or ambiguous inputs into clear, structured execution plans
  • Lead discovery conversations and define requirements, system impacts, dependencies, and risks
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions, including wireframes, system flows, and build-ready documentation
  • Own scopes of work (SOWs), change requests, and backlog prioritization
  • Coordinate across Account Management, Development, and Customer Service to ensure aligned execution
  • Make prioritization decisions across competing initiatives using clear frameworks (impact, effort, urgency)
  • Evaluate solutions with awareness of cost, effort, and margin impact
  • Hold cross-functional teams accountable to timelines, deliverables, and quality standards
  • Identify and resolve risks early across delivery, systems, and scope
  • Act as the final “clear-to-build” checkpoint before development begins
  • Drive AI-forward operational strategy by improving workflows, reducing operational friction, and identifying scalable execution opportunities through practical AI adoption
What You Bring
  • Strong understanding of APIs, data flows, and integrated systems (CMS, CRM, ESP, analytics tools like GA4/GTM)
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into structured plans, wireframes, and system-level thinking
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, multi-client or agency environments
  • Confidence in leading conversations with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong decision-making skills and comfort prioritizing across competing demands
  • High ownership mindset: you don’t wait for direction, you create clarity
  • Ability to drive execution across teams without direct authority
What Success Looks Like
  • Projects are clearly defined, scoped, and ready for development without executive involvement
  • Teams are aligned and executing efficiently with minimal confusion or rework
  • Delivery stays on track and within scope
  • Risks and gaps are identified early and addressed proactively
  • Leadership is pulled in only for high-impact decisions—not day-to-day execution
Why This Role Matters

This role is a force multiplier. When successful, it creates clarity across the organization, improves delivery consistency, protects margins, and allows leadership to focus on growth instead of execution.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Experience: 5–10+ years of experience in technical program management, technical operations, or similar execution-focused roles
  • Environment: Experience in a digital agency, product, or fast-paced multi-client environment strongly preferred
  • Execution: Proven track record of taking ambiguous requirements and turning them into structured, executable plans
  • Systems Knowledge: Strong experience working across integrated systems, including APIs, data flows, CMS platforms, CRM systems, and ESPs (Email Service Providers such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Mailchimp)
  • Documentation: Hands-on experience creating SOWs, technical documentation, system flows, and wireframes that enable development teams to execute
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead discovery conversations and define scope across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Management: Experience prioritizing and managing backlogs across multiple concurrent projects
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of web development processes and modern platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, or custom frameworks)
  • Influence: Proven ability to make decisions and drive execution across teams without direct authority
  • Commercial Lens: Experience evaluating work through a commercial lens (effort, cost, margin, tradeoffs)
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, client-ready documentation
Location & Work Style
  • This is an in-person role based in The Woodlands, TX
  • Must be able to work on-site regularly and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams
  • Preference for candidates located in the Greater Houston area
Education (Flexible)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or similar) preferred
  • Equivalent practical experience is equally valued. This role prioritizes capability and execution over formal credentials
