Implementation Consultant – Payroll & HR Systems

Location: Remote

Type: Full-Time, Salary


We’re looking for an all-star Implementation Consultant to join our team at Techknowledge Group (TKG), a boutique HCM consulting firm specializing in payroll and HR systems. We partner with clients across industries to provide white-glove implementation support & System Optimization, layering on top of vendor teams to ensure a seamless transition.


This is a high-impact role where you’ll serve as a strategic extension of our clients’ teams, advocating for them through complex implementations and filling the gaps vendors can’t. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy problem-solving, and want to make a meaningful impact in payroll and HR technology, we’d love to hear from you.

Requirements:

What You’ll Do

  • Lead clients through end-to-end HCM/payroll implementations (average 3 months per project).
  • Manage data conversion, validation, and integrity throughout the project.
  • Facilitate training sessions, build rollout plans, and guide change management efforts.
  • Collaborate with vendor implementation teams (Paycor, Paylocity, ADP, etc.) to align priorities and resolve issues.
  • Think strategically about client needs, identifying creative solutions and opportunities to improve processes.
  • Act as the client’s advocate—quickly learning their organization and ensuring deadlines, compliance, and project goals are met.
  • Provide clear communication, documentation, and project tracking across multiple client engagements.

  • Experience: Proven track record implementing HCM and payroll systems (Paycor and/or Paylocity strongly preferred).
  • Strategic mindset: Ability to think outside the box to solve client challenges and streamline processes.
  • Multi-tasking ability: Comfortable managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • Technical & functional knowledge: Strong background in payroll, HR processes, reporting, and data management.
  • Change management & training skills: Confident leading clients through adoption and rollout.
  • Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and client-facing skills; comfortable being the "face" of the project.
