A technical designer works in the fashion industry to help take a garment from concept to shelf. As a technical designer, it’s your job to take creative designs and adapt these ideas into actual products. Your primary duties include reviewing design work, developing a plan with the manufacturer, and ensuring that the finished product meets the quality standards of your company. You must have knowledge of patterns, fit, and fashion design. As the industry is becoming more modernized, you should also be familiar with the various tech and software tools used in the design process.
