Your Role

GenslerPhoenixis currently seeking an experienced Technical Designer (Job Captain) with a successfultrack recordandwell-rounded, broadarchitectural backgroundwithproject experiencein multipletypologies, including, but not limited toworkplace, hospitalityandmultifamily. In this position, you will collaborate with a team of designers and architects to produce technical documentation and communicate project progress to team members, ensuring our projects exceed client expectations.

What You Will Do

  • Produceaccuratetechnical and contract documentation forconstructionprojects

  • Provide project team coordination for incorporating design intent into construction documentation, assign tasks, and lead technical drawings

  • Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technicalissuesandmaintainquality control during construction

  • Coordinate anddirect consultants, specification writersto meet overall project objectives

  • Collaborate with Contractors, Fabricators and Regulatory Agencies /3rd party teams

  • Utilize hand sketches and 3D software, and Revitto communicate design concepts

Your Qualifications

  • 5- 10years of related professional experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Architectureor related field

  • Experience inleadingworkplace,hospitalityand multifamilyprojects preferred

  • Experience withbase buildingand/or build to suitsrequired,withinteriors experiencepreferred

  • Knowledge of building codes,standards,zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials,building structures,specifications,constructiontechniquesandbuilding envelopes a plus

  • Knowledge of sustainable design strategies

  • Experience in construction document preparationandConstructionAdministration

  • Strong leadership, organizational,verbaland written communication, and relationship management skills

  • Proficiencyin Revitrequired;and experience inAutoCad, Adobe CS,Rhinoceros,SketchUp, and other 3D modeling software a plus

  • On the path to licensure preferred
