Job Summary
The Technical Solutions Manager (TSM) is responsible for providing technical expertise for our existing clients on complex mechanical projects. This role combines technical knowledge with consultative selling to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs. The TSM will partner with the Client Success Team to ensure client expectations are met. Acting as a trusted advisor, the TSM will guide customers through capital project solutions to ensure long-term satisfaction and repeat business.
Essential Duties
  • Technical Support
    • Collaborate with client success teams to identify and pursue new opportunities for mechanical and electrical projects.
    • Understand client objectives and provide solutions that align with their goals.
    • Coordinate with operations to establish strategic priorities, measure capacity, and ensure accurate workforce forecasting.
  • Project Estimating & Scoping
    • Conduct site visits and gather data for accurate project estimates.
    • Prepare detailed cost estimates and scope documents.
    • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure feasibility and compliance.
  • Trusted Advisor Role
    • Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
    • Offer insights and recommendations that add value beyond the initial sale.
    • Provide guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Minimum Requirements
  • 10 years of experience in construction, building systems, or facilities management, with recent focus on mechanical/electrical capital projects.
  • Proven track record as a trusted advisor driving repeat business and long-term client outcomes.
  • Knowledge of local codes and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions; experience coordinating with AHJs.
  • Progressive technical depth in mechanical systems and energy optimization; formal credentials (e.g., PMP, CEM, LEED AP) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams (operations, engineering, estimating) to scope, price, and deliver client solutions.
  • Advanced estimating & scoping capability: site assessments, data gathering, detailed cost estimates, and comprehensive scope documents.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with a consultative, client-advisor mindset.
  • Experience prioritizing portfolios, forecasting capacity, and aligning strategic opportunities with delivery constraints.
  • Proven experience in project sales (HVAC, plumbing, or electrical preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve client success outcomes.
