Job description

Summary:

Mujin is the future of industrial robotic systems in production and distribution environments. Our technology gives robots perception and awareness, enabling them to take on more advanced tasks. We aim to revolutionize the use of robotics within industry to free human resources from labor-intensive tasks to focus on more intellectual challenges.

Position Description:
  • Works with developers, engineers, and other technical staff to ensure documentation reflects current processes and product functionality.
  • Writes user manuals, how-to guides, integration guides, API documentation, system operation instructions, equipment operations and maintenance content, and other technical materials for internal and external audiences.
  • Determines effective structures and layouts for complex manuals and technical documentation; conducts research and collaborates with technical staff to accurately interpret complex technical data, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ensures appropriate technical content and terminology reviews occur and that updates and revisions are incorporated into published documentation.
  • Edits content to improve clarity, impact, flow, meaning, consistency, accuracy, and readability for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develops schedules and plans for documentation projects, ensuring timely delivery of quality content, and conducts usability testing as needed to validate documentation effectiveness.
  • Defines and maintains documentation standards, templates, style guidance, taxonomy, metadata, and governance practices while supporting the broader Knowledge Transfer initiative through scalable documentation, onboarding, training, and product knowledge management frameworks.
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communication, journalism, or STEMfield is preferred
  • 4+ years relevant work experience
  • Familiarity with software, hardware, or engineering concepts relevant to our industry
  • Experience with documentation tools, content management systems and publishing software
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, concise language for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong attention to detail
Desired:
  • Robotics, industrial automation, material handling, manufacturing, or related technology industry experience.
  • Experience with structured content, information architecture, taxonomy, metadata, documentation governance, or knowledge management practices.
  • Experience creating operator, maintenance, system integration, API, or developer documentation.
Physical Demands/ Work Environment:
  • Travel Requirement: Less than 5%,
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to work extended hours as required
  • May need to visit sites per project needs
